Sebastian Aleksander, Sr. is the Founder & CEO of The Aleksander Group and one of Florida’s most experienced government affairs strategists, bringing more than 20 years of operational and legislative expertise across state, federal, and local government.

Widely regarded for his analytical rigor, negotiation strategy, and ability to navigate politically sensitive, rapidly evolving regulatory environments, Mr. Aleksander advises clients in sectors ranging from technology, internet governance, and AI policy to telecommunications, consumer products, healthcare, economic development, and local government appropriations.

His public-sector career began in the Florida Senate Majority Office, followed by service as Chief Legislative Aide in the Florida House and Senior Advisor to then–Speaker Designate Marco Rubio. During this period, he worked extensively on member priorities, policy development, budget strategy, and appropriations negotiations at a pivotal moment in Florida’s economic transformation.

After earning his MBA, Mr. Aleksander founded The Aleksander Group, leading initiatives on broadband deployment, internet commerce, harm reduction, finance and tax, public safety, privacy and transportation. His work has resulted in major legislative wins, multimillion-dollar appropriations, and regulatory advancements across multiple sectors.

Today, he continues to advise companies and governments on the issues shaping Florida’s future — including AI governance, public safety, infrastructure investments and reforms that strengthen Florida’s position as a diversified, globally competitive economy.
