Florida lawmakers have passed Senate Bill 700 (Florida Farm Bill 2025), one of the most expansive agriculture and food policy bills in state history. The measure, now headed to Governor Ron DeSantis, includes wide-ranging reforms affecting farmers, food labeling, ESG regulations, and more.


Key Provisions in SB700:


  • Protecting Florida Farmers: Bans ESG-based lending discrimination; expands disaster recovery loans.

  • Restricts the use of terms like “milk” and “meat” on plant-based products.

  • Water Additive Restrictions: Prohibits fluoride and similar additives unrelated to purification.
